Air-Flow Designs

CrossDraft Paint Spray Booth
A Cross Draft Paint Spray Booth pulls fresh air through filters at the main entry doors. This filtered air moves through the booth over the vehicle being painted and is exhausted through filters at the opposite end. Cross Draft Paint Spray Booths are a cost-effective & efficient solution. It also is available in options such as drive-through, or a reverse flow design, which intakes air through filters in the back wall of the booth, and has solid main entry doors rather than filtered. The exhaust is on either side of the entry doors. This style of booth can provide cleaner air flow since most of the shop dust is being made in front of the booth.

Side-DownDraft Paint Spray Booth

A Side-Downdraft Paint Spray Booth intakes fresh air from the outside and is typically pulled through an air-makeup unit heated to the desired temperature that is set by the operator. The air is pulled down through a set of filters, providing a cleaner painting environment. The filtered air is then drawn away from the parts being finished or painted to the left and right side of the paint booth through a filtered exhaust chamber located near the floor. All of this can be accomplished without requiring a downdraft exhaust pit.

DownDraft Paint Spray Booth

This type of Paint Spray Booth intakes fresh air from the outside, and typically then pulled through a heated air-makeup unit to the desired temperature set by the operator. The air is then pulled down into the paint spray booth through a set of filters. The filtered air is then drawn down and away from the objects being painted or finished, through exhaust filters located at the opposite end of the paint spray booth.
